What might holidays look like in 2050?

For the TUI Innovation Hackathon, Another Tomorrow was brought in to design and facilitate a process and experience to engage 80 perspectives from across TUI’s Scandinavian offices. The aim was to prototype visionary products and strategically embed innovation into the fabric of the organisation.

The core brief components were:

  • Prototype speculative futures for the travel industry

  • Harness the power of TUI’s Scandinavian offices and teams together in one event

  • Leverage rapid innovation and collaboration as part of a long term strategy and not only short term inspiration

The Outcome

A 48-hour Innovation Hackathon where cross-functional teams applied a test-and-learn mentality and co-created the travel experience for consumers in 2050. The winning teams in the categories sustainability, growth and customer experience got to prototype their ideas further together with a professional development coach. The goal is that they will be turned into real TUI products creating a more digital experience for customers.
